Anglo-Nubian Goat

Origin

The shipping company P & O, in the nineteenth century, carrying goats to feed the crew and sold what was left on the target.
Soon, they realized that there were buyers for goats in England! Usually P & O ships took goats shipped in India or in the Chitral region, or also the Níbia, Egypt, Assyria and Syria. All shared certain common features: long hanging ears, short hair and a convex profile. The nubian goat was the preferred breed, variety Zaraibi, Egypt. During the years 1878-1880 famous goats were displayed in exhibitions under the name Nubian, although they could have originated in Africa or India, or anywhere outside of England. This beautiful breed is not recognized in France nor Spain.
